TASTING ROOM FAQ

Q: Are you kid and pet friendly?

A: At this time, due to Covid restrictions we do not allow children in the tap room. We have a limited capacity and have to ensure that there is plenty of seating for our customers. Children that are in car seats, strollers or that are carried are allowed. As for dogs, please bring them. They make our staff smile!

Q: Can I bring my own food to the brewery?

A: You certainly can. We have menus at the bar to some of Forked River's favorite spots! Feel free to ask our staff for the menus. We ask that on the days we have a food truck onsite that you try to avoid bringing your own food. We do understand that some of our patrons have allergies and dietary restrictions so we understand if you want to bring some of your own snacks. There are also several spots nearby you can purchase food from for pickup or delivery. Stay tuned on our social media pages for days we will be having food trucks.

Q: Do you fill growlers?

A: We no longer fill growlers. We now can all of your favorite brew in 16oz cans. You can purchase 4 packs and mixed 4 packs.

Q: Do you have gift cards?

A: We do, stop in and pick one up today!

Q: What's up with the patches on the wall?

A: Glad you asked! We hang patches on the wall to honor the service of our friends who come into the brewery. If you bring a service patch from a military, police, fire or first aid unit that we don't have up on our wall you get a pint on us as a "thank you" for your service.

Q: What is the meaning of the Gold Star wall?

A: A Gold Star family is a family who has lost a member that was part of the service. We ask Gold Star families and friends (who are comfortable with it) to share an image of their loved one for us to frame on the wall in our brewery to honor their service and sacrifice. We ask that anyone who visits the brewery to be respectful of this space and not to touch or move the photos.

Q: Is outside liquor allowed in the tasting room?

A: Absolutely not. NJ law prohibits any alcohol not made onsite to be sold or consumed in a brewery tasting room. If you bring any outside liquor or beer we will have to ask you to leave - and nobody wants that!

Q: Do you guys host private events?

A: We do! Please email johnirwin.bfbc@gmail.com for more details on how you can host your next event at Backward Flag.
